The field of vascular anomalies is rapidly growing and has significantly evolved during the recent decades, Vascular malformation is a generalized term used to describe a group of lesions, present at birth, formed by an anomaly of angiovascular or lymphovascular structures.Sclerotherapy is considered to be a better treatment modality for VMs and denatures the protein of the malformed vessel walls and damages the endothelium to form the thrombus.Polidocanol also known as lauromacrogol or aethoxysclerol (chemical name: lauryl alcohol polyoxyethylene),It produces an acute lesion of the vascular endothelium, which triggers the cascade of coagulation. It crosses the placental barrier so is not advised for pregnant women.
