Failures in Endodontics

Root canal treatment usually fails when the treatment falls short of acceptable standards. Although there is an array of potential factors that influence the outcome of endodontic treatment, success appears to fundamentally depend upon the elimination of root canal infection present when treatment starts and the prevention of contamination during treatment. In order to maximize the probability of a successful outcome, the clinician must achieve and maintain these objectives in routine practice, hence this book summarizes the content and techniques to offset the occurrence of endodontic failures by providing a comprehensive understanding of the factors associated with it.
