The concept of well-known trademark though recent development but has attain extreme importance in present scenario. In this market driven economies well-known trademarks play a highly complex role, their functions not remain to indicate origin of goods or services now it appeal to consumers and some of them went to create mythical status for consumers. Taking its importance several efforts have been made to protect it at international as well as domestic level and courts too played important role in it protection.
