Orthodontics is a specialty that deals with diagnosis and treatment planning of different malocclusions and skeletal abnormalities, most of the time there is a need for interdisciplinary intervention in various conditions for better prognosis and outcome of the treatment. The most common objectives of an orthodontic treatment or facial and dental aesthetics and the improvement in the masticatory function. No longer can one discipline, manage the patient seeking maximal esthetic results. Obtaining that perfect smile is more complex than just aligning the teeth.
