With the metrics, manufacturers can analyze in a more critical manner the usage of sensors, find alternatives to deliver the same function with less cost and decide how is the best way to handle the implications of changing it. It will also help them to evaluate what are the points of vulnerability and how the product is regarding its safety and privacy.
