Cleft lip and palate is one of the most common deformity in neonates. It comes as a mental trauma to the parents of new-born babies, and first of all they are consulted regarding its treatment and surgeries. cleft lip is more common than cleft palate. These deformities are manageable and treatable and it involves the expertise from more than one field. The surgeries are done at various stages. A special approach to nutrition of child is followed in order to prepare him for extensive surgical procedures.
