Appropriate Technology and Energy Conservation

Globally the building sector accounts for more electricity use than any other sector, 42 percent. No wonder considering that we spend more than 90 percent of our time in buildings. With increasing urbanization, higher in developing countries, the number and size of buildings in urban areas will increase, resulting in an increased demand for electricity and other forms of energy commonly used in buildings. This textbook deals with the energy efficiency measures of the building. The role of choosing energy-efficient building materials has been emphasized. The planning and preparation of works in the road sector have been covered nicely. The details of the rural roads existing in major parts of India have been given special privilege.
