Pediatric Trauma in Rwanda

Pediatric trauma injuries are a growing public health problem according to the WHO data obtained from documented developed countries. They may account for more deaths than AIDS, TB or malaria combined in children over the age of five. For every child that dies of trauma, 4 are disabled permanently. What do we know about pediatric trauma related morbidity and mortality in the developing country's A&E unit like the one of Rwanda? Evidence based documentation would allow to show where and how to intervene in order to adress this problem.
