Screw Versus Cement Retained Implant Prosthesis

It was stated that the selection of an implant retention system is the first step in determining the feasibility of either a cement or screw retention for the prosthesis. Both types of restorations, screw-retained and cement-retained, have certain advantages and disadvantages. However, based on reviewing the related literature, it has been demonstrated that one type of restoration is more appropriate than the other in some clinical situations.
