Macrocyclic Chemistry

A macrocycle is, as defined by IUPAC, &quote;a cyclic macromolecule or a macromolecular cyclic portion of a molecule. In the chemical literature, organic chemists may consider any molecule containing a ring of seven or more atoms to be a macrocyle.
