Lasers in Prosthodontics : A Potential Science

Almost all of us have used 'Laser' in some form or the other. The bar code reader in the shopping mall, the CD player, the 'Laser pointer' used at lectures are some examples of encountering lasers in ones day to day lives. When used effectively and ethically, lasers are an exceptional modality of treatment for many clinical conditions that dentists treat on a daily basis. From operative dentistry to periodontics, paediatrics and prosthetics to cosmetics and implantology, lasers have made a tremendous impact on the delivery of dental care in present times and will continue to do so as the technology continues to improve and evolve.
