Partial Differential Equations and their Obstacle Problems

In many aspects of modern scientific research, PDEs have many important applications. The obstacle problem to PDEs is a typical example of the elliptic variational inequality of the first kind. Many important problems can be formulated by transformation to an obstacle problem. This book was written in the light of these considerations both in regard to the theoretical research of elliptic equations and their obstacle problems.
