Those They Left Behind

A book of Third Reich marriage photographs, but much more. This work includes over 200 largely previously unseen images of men in uniform, from all the services, with their wives, families and loved ones. Each photograph is captioned with a full description of what is being worn. A section of period documents relating to marriage and population analysis during the Nazi era with translations and explanations. This book provides a good reference of uniforms for the collector and an interesting glimpse of the social side of service and family in the Third Reich.
