Plague

Albert Camus (1913-1960) is one of the most important existentialist philosophers, a playwright, and a novelist. He is known for his wonderful novel (The Stranger), which is considered one of the most important novels in the world.The novel (The Plague) was first published in 1947, and it achieved Camus tremendous success, as it sold more than one and a half million copies within two years. He won the Nobel Prize in 1956, as stated in the text of the award announcement.The events of the novel take place in the Algerian city of Oran, where two medical workers participate in fighting the plague that is penetrating the city.Of course, the novel contains much of Albert Camus''s philosophy and existential questions, which revolve around two axes: the first axis: the nature of destiny, and the second axis: man, his weakness, and his position in the world.
