This novel was published in its first edition in the year 1983, in Damascus, and its events take place in the first half of the fifties of the twentieth century, in the Syrian Al -Bayti area adjacent to Lake Tiberias at the border line separating Palestine and Syria. Where a Syrian teacher who was studying the French language in the capital''s secondary schools reaches this region. This teacher was disconnected by the authority of his country''s dictatorship, because he refused to divide the right of loyalty to the individual ruler, so he punished him by reducing his rank into a teacher in an elementary school and sending him to this haunted area with epidemics, backwardness, feudalism and power of military whose general leader became the individual ruler. What will the duplicate citizen do, and what will the intelligence of his country do? This is what this novel tells.
