Devastated by her father's absence, Gaia feels she has nowhere to turn. But then she receives a strange offer: Mary Moss's mum suggests that she live in Mary's old room. Gaia accepts, and suddenly finds herself in a family that desperately needs to fill a void. Heather is furious with Ed for revealing his secret. Ed had no choice; he had to save Gaia's life. But Heather can't bring herself to forgive him. Maybe she and her family will survive - but the ugly truth is that Ed is a lot less attractive to her without the money. She has to let him go.
