You will  find world class Roman remains, striking industrial and mining archaeology, unspoilt, lonely moors which are home to rare and beautiful flora and fauna, some of Britain’s  finest rivers and waterfalls and beautiful little towns and villages nestled among high fells.

Often overlooked by tourists, the North Pennines is properly celebrated here in a stunning collection of images by local photographer and author Helen Shaw.
