Design tools improved significantly, making it possible to complete designs in a fair amount of time. Energy-efficient CMOS replaced NMOS and PMOS, resulting in a significant reduction in power usage. MOS technology is regarded as one of the most important and promising technologies in the VLSI design process. PMOS, NMOS, CMOS, and BiCMOS devices are used in circuit designs.
