The present series which is the first in the region, highlighted that the average age was 61.02 years with a female predominance (66%), The majority of patients (53%) came from urban areas of the Souss Massa region. The study shows the predominance of senile cataract (62%) followed by diabetic cataract (20%), traumatic cataract (15%) and congenital cataract in (3%) of cases. The most frequent form was unilateral (73%). Diabetes (37%), hypertension (20%), and heart disease (10.5%) were the three most frequent associated comorbidities.
