The 3rd edition of this text is almost 60% larger than the preceding edition of Volume 1, reflecting the growth in knowledge and expertise in the last decade. Re-written and much more comprehensive, it aims to provide and introduction to polymer science, pigments, solvents and aditives as well as having enlarged chapters dealing with the accelerating drift away from solvent-based products to aqueous-based systems. It also includes new material to meet current concerns about the environment and safety when handling and transporting dangerous chemicals.
