In 1974 Tom Baker became Dr Who, Clough managed Leeds United then departed and Abba won Eurovision with Waterloo. Happy Days, Bagpuss, Porridge and The Six Million Dollar Man made their debut on TV while Mud walked high with Tiger Feet. It was the year President Nixon resigned, Britains first Macdonalds opened and Volkswagen launched the Golf.
