Implizite Vorurteile sind ein sozialpsychologisches Konzept, welches impliziten, d. h. unbewussten Rassismus erklärt. Was aber sind implizite Vorurteile ihrer Natur nach und wann führen sie zu diskriminierendem Verhalten? Handelt es sich um unbewusste Überzeugungen, Assoziationen oder Charaktereigenschaften? Inwiefern sind implizite Vorurteile überhaupt unbewusst? Vor dem Hintergrund kritisch dargestellter philosophischer Theorien (von Gendler, Mandelbaum, Levy und Machery) wird ein Verständnis impliziter Vorurteile als Bündel von Dispositionen entwickelt.
