Detailed information

Supercapacitors are storage device with a very high capacity and a low internal resistance which enable to supply peaks of power to additive vehicle during the transient states. During steady state the battery will provide energy required. This methodology enables to decrease the weight and increase the life span of the batteries. Additives using super capacitors for transport application is needed when energy and power management are requested during the transient states and steady state. It utilize high surface area electrode materials and thin electrolyte dielectrics to achieve high capacitance. This allows for energy densities greater than those of conventional capacitors and power densities greater than those of batteries. As a result, these may become attractive power solutions for an increasing number of applications.
