Detailed information

Wireless communication is being used extensively as it has proven to be economical and has very long reach. Wireless communication using the mobile phone has become part and parcel of human daily life. The wireless communication is effected due to electromagnetic waves that reach the targeted points after getting reflected from ionized regions of upper atmosphere. The signals transmitted from a transmitting source are received in different paths at the receiver side. The signals received on the receiver side get distorted due to number of reasons. The ionized regions located in the Ionosphere gets effected due to several varying conditions that include Sun, tides, winds, reflections, whistles, fading etc. Due to these reasons the received signal strength varies drastically. This thesis is focused on determining few parameters that must be considered for developing a simple but effective design model which can be used for the development of wireless communication system. The design model presented in the thesis caters for a communication system that supports both narrow and wideband.
