In the summer of 2016, events occurred in Odessa that eclipsed television channels with restless conversations about brutal murders. People in the houses, having closed all the locks, looked terrified at the TV, hoping to hear about the capture of the criminal. Mothers pressed children, fathers smoked in the kitchen, shaking their ashes with trembling hand. The city was in awe.
