Britain in the Past: Vikings

Britain in the Past aims to give younger children an understanding of everyday life in Britain for both rich and poor through fact-filled text, exciting illustrations and photographs of artefacts and re-enactors. Feature boxes, maps and lists complete the picture.

Vikings offers a look at life in Britain from 793 CE, when the first Viking attack took place. Viking customs, culture, warfare and everyday life are all investigated, as well the conflicts with existing Anglo-Saxon society in Britain.
