Tax administration and corruption

The economic growth for Africa is not dependent on aid but domestic resource mobilization. However, corruption has taken over the dream of making Africa a great continent. We have robbed ourselves of our future and denied the next generation the beauty of life. We have allowed the youth to be 'economically abused' by denying them employment. Intelligent young men are dying on their 'pilgrimage' to search for greener pastures in the West. Corruption has even paralyzed the church. The poor are paying taxes, the rich and powerful are feeding on them without remorse. Children are dying in hospitals due to lack of medicine, the poor cannot pay school fees as the resources are directed to those who have power. Foreigners are conniving with powerful people on the land to steal our hard earned resources. Most of our leaders have lost their senses and decide to dine with thieves. Together, we can kick out corruption from the continent, we can build a better Africa for the next generation. 'When you hear my words, do not harden your hearts' Hebrews 3:7'
